Hello and welcome to my life’s dream. Due to my being a former snowboard-professional, I spent half of my life in nature and at extraordinary places all over the world: Always looking for something unique. But no matter where I was searching, I couldn’t find what the Allgäu means to me – Home.
For this reason I wanted my next adventure to take place right here. This journey took me from my first pencil sketches of a treehouse all the way to installing the final light bulb in the Chalets. My beloved wife Alica has been my travel companion. Without her by my side I would have gotten lost at some stage. Having my entire family behind me has always been and will always be my source of strength. And now it's done: I run and own a small but special holiday resort, called BAUMCHALETS Allgäu.

What makes the Allgäu tree chalets so special?

The Tree Chalets are five private treehouse chalets in the Allgäu – each with its own sauna, whirlpool/jacuzzi, large terrace, private garden and the sound of a rushing stream right on your doorstep. You won’t be staying in a traditional hotel, but in your own private retreat amongst the trees at an altitude of around 1,000 metres.

Who are the tree chalets suitable for?

The tree chalets are particularly well suited to couples, families, nature lovers, dog owners and anyone looking for peace and quiet, privacy and a special experience. During the day, you can go hiking, cycling, skiing or exploring the Allgäu – and in the evening, your private wellness area awaits.

How many people can stay in a chalet?

Each chalet is ideal for 1 to 4 people. There is a bedroom, a sleeping loft and cosy living areas. For a fifth person, the sofa can be used as an extra bed by arrangement.

Do all the chalets have their own sauna and hot tub?

Yes. Each tree chalet has its own private wellness area with a Finnish sauna and a whirlpool/Jacuzzi. You’ll have both entirely to yourselves – independent of other guests and with no fixed spa opening hours.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, dogs are very welcome in several of our tree chalets. One chalet is deliberately kept pet-free for guests with allergies or those without dogs. Please let us know if you’ll be bringing your dog when you book or make an enquiry.

How much does a night in the tree chalets cost?

Prices start from 400 euros per night per chalet in the low season and from 450 euros in the high season, depending on the season. The basic rate applies to up to four people; weekend, short-stay and additional charges are clearly shown in the price overview.
