The Tree Chalets are five private treehouse chalets in the Allgäu – each with its own sauna, whirlpool/jacuzzi, large terrace, private garden and the sound of a rushing stream right on your doorstep. You won’t be staying in a traditional hotel, but in your own private retreat amongst the trees at an altitude of around 1,000 metres.
The tree chalets are particularly well suited to couples, families, nature lovers, dog owners and anyone looking for peace and quiet, privacy and a special experience. During the day, you can go hiking, cycling, skiing or exploring the Allgäu – and in the evening, your private wellness area awaits.
Each chalet is ideal for 1 to 4 people. There is a bedroom, a sleeping loft and cosy living areas. For a fifth person, the sofa can be used as an extra bed by arrangement.
Yes. Each tree chalet has its own private wellness area with a Finnish sauna and a whirlpool/Jacuzzi. You’ll have both entirely to yourselves – independent of other guests and with no fixed spa opening hours.
Yes, dogs are very welcome in several of our tree chalets. One chalet is deliberately kept pet-free for guests with allergies or those without dogs. Please let us know if you’ll be bringing your dog when you book or make an enquiry.
Prices start from 400 euros per night per chalet in the low season and from 450 euros in the high season, depending on the season. The basic rate applies to up to four people; weekend, short-stay and additional charges are clearly shown in the price overview.
When you book directly via our website, you’ll benefit from our best price guarantee, avoid paying any booking platform fees, and have direct contact with Aron and the Baumchalets team. This is particularly handy if you have any special requests, vouchers or require additional services.
We are open 365 days a year. You can reach our office by phone from Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 12.30 pm. Enquiries via email, WhatsApp or our online form can be made at any time; we will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.
Select your dates in the booking calendar, specify the number of people and any special requests, and complete the booking online. Once payment has been received or confirmed, you will receive your written booking confirmation.
Your booking is binding as soon as you have received a booking confirmation. You will receive the booking confirmation once payment has been received.
In addition to the chalet price, depending on the length of your stay, you may be charged a visitor’s tax, a flat-rate fee for dogs, breakfast, additional services, a weekend surcharge or a short-stay surcharge. Parking spaces directly at the chalet are included, as are firewood and a welcome drink.
The minimum stay varies depending on the season, holiday periods and occupancy rates, and is usually between two and four nights. If there are any gaps in the calendar, shorter stays or single nights are also possible by arrangement. Please feel free to get in touch if you can’t see any gaps in the calendar.
Yes, single nights are also possible if there are gaps in the booking calendar. A short-stay surcharge applies for this, as cleaning, spa maintenance, laundry and preparation take almost as much time and effort as for longer stays.
Please feel free to specify your preference when booking. We will do our best to accommodate it, but we cannot always guarantee a specific chalet, as we need to ensure that occupancy, cleaning and technical arrangements all fit together.
Please enter the voucher value, the voucher code and the name of the person who gave you the gift in the ‘Comments’ field of your booking, or send us a direct enquiry. We will then apply the voucher manually and confirm the remaining balance with you.
It is generally possible to reverse the transaction or cancel a voucher; however, we will retain a 10 per cent administration fee. In this case, please send us an email stating the voucher number and the name of the original purchaser (for verification purposes).
Yes. You’ll get the best rates directly via the Baumchalets website. What’s more, you’ll avoid having to go via third-party platforms and can discuss any special requests directly with us.
Cancellations must be made in writing. You may cancel your booking in writing up to 4 weeks before arrival. You can choose whether you would like a voucher for the amount of the accommodation cost or a refund of the accommodation cost. A refund will be issued provided that the period you booked has been fully rebooked. Later cancellations are only free of charge if the room is fully and actually rebooked.
For last-minute emergencies, we recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance or opting for the travel cancellation cover we offer. This way, you’ll be better protected in the event of illness, an accident or a family emergency.
Bookings can be rebooked up to 4 weeks before arrival. For any requests to change your booking made after this, rebooking is possible as soon as the dates can be reallocated. Please feel free to get in touch; we’ll work with you to find a fair solution.
The tree chalets are situated in the heart of nature. In normal weather conditions, your stay will be particularly cosy, especially with the sauna and hot tub. In the event of extreme safety concerns, we will keep you actively informed and take the necessary protective measures.
Check-in is usually available from 3.00 pm. In-person check-in takes place during the specified time slot; if you arrive later, self-check-in is available.
On the day of departure, we ask that you vacate the chalet by 10.30 am so that the cleaning, laundry, sauna and hot tub can be prepared in time for the next guests.
The tree chalets are situated on the Thaler Höhe in Missen-Wilhams in the Allgäu, at an altitude of around 1,000 metres – peaceful, close to nature and yet easily accessible.
A car is handy, especially for shopping, day trips and getting around easily, as there is no public transport nearby. However, many walks and nature trails start right on your doorstep.
We provide a free charging facility for our guests via a wallbox in our garage (Type 2 connection). Other chargers can be plugged into the mains supply directly beneath the chalet.
In winter, we recommend using winter tyres and, depending on the weather conditions, keeping snow chains in the car. The location is beautiful, but it is at a higher altitude and has a distinctly wintry feel.
A tree chalet offers around 50 m² of living space spread over two levels, as well as a large terrace with a private garden area by the torrent. The architecture combines the feel of a tiny house, the experience of a treehouse and high-quality comfort.
The kitchen is fully equipped, so you can easily cater for yourselves. This includes cooking facilities, crockery, cutlery, a fridge and a tea and coffee corner.
Yes, every chalet has Wi-Fi and a tablet with a range of streaming services. That way, you can decide for yourselves where and when to enjoy what.
Yes, bed linen, hand towels, sauna towels and bathrobes are provided for you. For the wellness area, you should pack extra swimwear and, if necessary, your own slippers.
Yes, there are two parking spaces available right outside each chalet. This makes arriving, unloading your luggage and doing your shopping particularly straightforward.
No, smoking is not permitted inside the chalets. Please be considerate when smoking outdoors and dispose of cigarette ends properly.
Yes. The sauna and hot tub/Jacuzzi are part of your chalet and are not shared with other guests. You decide for yourselves when you’d like to relax.
Yes, the combination of a sauna, warm water, snow and mountain air is particularly lovely, especially in winter. Just make sure you take care when walking outside, as wooden decking can be slippery when wet or frosty.
The hot tub is designed as a heated outdoor hot tub and will be prepared for your stay. The exact temperature may vary slightly depending on usage, the weather and the technical settings.
The water is regularly checked and maintained. Please shower before using the hot tub, do not use oils, bath products or glassware in the hot tub, and follow the instructions on site.
Rain goes surprisingly well with the tree chalets: the sauna, the hot tub, cooking, reading, the hammock, playing games, streaming, and the sound of raindrops in the trees. Many guests find these days particularly cosy.
Dogs are welcome in several designated chalets. One chalet remains pet-free so that guests with allergies and those without dogs can also find a suitable place to stay.
For dogs, there is an additional cleaning or pet charge of €60 per stay per dog.
Please always let us know in advance if you are bringing your dog, bring their favourite food with you, and do not allow dogs on beds, sofas or upholstered furniture. We provide blankets, towels, bowls and a small welcome treat. Any damage or heavy soiling will be charged separately.
Yes, the location at Thaler Höhe is ideal for walks, short strolls and longer hikes in the countryside. Please be considerate of grazing animals, wildlife and other visitors.
Your dog should be kept on a lead on the grounds and in sensitive natural areas. This protects wildlife, grazing animals, other visitors and your dog.
Yes, the tree chalets offer families a special experience of nature. Children love the sleeping loft, the terrace, the mountain stream, the hammock and being close to the forest and mountains. However, parents should be aware that this is a place close to nature, with heights, wood, water and outdoor areas.
Where possible, please enquire in advance about baby and toddler equipment. If available, we’ll be happy to arrange it for you.
The torrent offers a unique experience of nature, but it is not a playground and should not be used without supervision. Please supervise children near the water and watch out for slippery stones and wooden surfaces when it is wet.
Right on the doorstep of the chalets, you’ll find nature, footpaths and little adventures. The region offers walks, lakes for swimming, mountain railways, playgrounds, museums and, depending on the season, snow-based activities.
Due to their design, which features different levels, stairs and an elevated position, the tree chalets are not traditionally accessible. Guests with reduced mobility should contact us directly before booking.
Breakfast can be booked as an additional service. Depending on the package, you’ll receive a lovingly prepared breakfast basket delivered straight to your chalet.
Yes. The kitchen is fully equipped, so you can enjoy cooking for yourselves. Many guests combine self-catering with a breakfast basket, regional produce or a visit to a local restaurant.
Additional services include, for example, breakfast, a romantic package, a bouquet of flowers and a cake. We’d be happy to discuss further gift packages or special surprises for birthdays, anniversaries or marriage proposals with you.
Yes. Vouchers are a great way to give the gift of a stay at Baumchalets – either as a gift voucher for a specific amount or for a specific stay with additional services.
Right from Thaler Höhe, you can go hiking, take a stroll, explore nature, go skiing or snowshoeing depending on the season, and simply enjoy the peace and quiet. Many guests choose not to take their car.
Both seasons have their own special appeal: in summer, the terrace, the mountain stream, walks, the Alps and balmy evenings beckon. In winter, the sauna, hot tub, snow and proximity to the Thaler Höhe ski resort are major draws.
The tree chalets are situated near the Thaler Höhe ski resort. Depending on snow conditions, this is a great advantage for relaxing winter days without having to travel far.
We recommend hikes, mountain huts, lakes for swimming, regional breweries, mountain railways, family-friendly destinations and our local hidden gems.
Shortly before your arrival, you will receive a link via which you can view the Allgäu-Walser Pass and download it if required. With your Allgäu-Walser Pass, you can enjoy a range of benefits, reduced prices and free use of public transport. The services included with your Allgäu-Walser Pass are shown below the pass (= QR code). If you tap on it, you’ll find further information on how to use it and the relevant terms and conditions.
The tree chalets embody holidays close to nature, high-quality architecture, thoughtfully chosen furnishings and a resource-conscious approach to the environment.
Please stay on the paths, be considerate of wildlife, grazing animals and other visitors, and do not leave any rubbish behind. This special setting thrives on everyone treating it with care.
Yes, out of consideration for guests, nature and the local environment, a quiet atmosphere should be maintained in the evenings. Therefore, quiet hours apply on the terrace and in the garden from 10 pm.
Barbecuing or lighting fires is only permitted at the barbecue area allocated to you. Please be aware of the risk of forest fires, the weather and the house rules.
You are welcome to film your booked chalet, provided you have checked with our team first. To protect the privacy of our other guests and those at the campsite, flying drones over other chalets or the campsite is not permitted.
